Mabel V. McClendon, 98 of Alexander formerly of Conway passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010.
She was born September 18, 1911 in Quitman, to the late William Thomas New and Mary Jane Edwards New.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Fay Cargile and Douglas McClendon; 4 brothers and a sister.
She is a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Conway, was retired from the International Shoe Factory and volunteered at Conway Human Development Center in the Grandparent Program until she was 90 years old.
Survivors are a nephew, Carl New and wife Jean; great-nephew, Lane New and wife Janice; great great-nephew, Logan New all of Alexander.
Graveside services wer held at Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. David Hoffman officiating.
