TAYLOR, Catherine CLINE - The community was shocked Saturday morning when it was announced that Mrs. D.Z. Taylor was dead. Mrs. Taylor only recently recovered from an attack of bilious fever, leaving her weak, but she was able to be up most of the time and was thought to be doing nicely. Saturday morning just as the family was being seated for breakfast Mrs. Taylor startled the other members of the household by saying that she was smothering and, hastily leaving the table, started for the door. Mr. Taylor went to her relief, thinking she was merely seized with a fainting spell but she sank in his arms and passed away almost in a moment. Mr. Taylor says she slept soundly the night previous and appeared to be feeling a little better than ordinarily. Her death was due to heart failure. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran Church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Meyer of Purdy, Mo. and the remains were interred in Bluff Cemetery. Catherine Cline was born in Catawba County, North Carolina October 21, 1860. In her youth she moved with her parents to Madison County and was united in marriage to D.Z. Taylor at Hindsville October 2, 1888. About eleven years ago the family moved to Southeast Missouri where they resided about a year, coming from there to Springdale where they have since resided, except for a few months out in the country near Elm Springs. Deceased is survived by her husband and six children, Essie, Earl, Gertrude, Verna, Bertie and Ruby, five daughters and one son. The son is in California and the daughters were all at home except Miss Essie who was at Fayetteville where she is taking treatment from a physician. Deceased is also survived by her mother and two sisters, who reside in Southeast Missouri and she has two brothers in Los Angeles, California. Mrs. A.E. Smyer of this place is also a sister of the deceased. Mrs. Taylor had been a member of the Lutheran Church almost since childhood and was a woman loved and respected by all who knew her. The sorrowing family has the sympathy of the entire community in their great bereavement.
