Marlene Louise Freeman Cottrell, 79 of Crossett, AR passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015, at Stonegate Villa Nursing and Rehab in Crossett, AR.
She was born July 8, 1935 in Union County, AR to the union of Charlie Hamlin Freeman and Louise Goins Freeman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters: Martha Jo Berry and Sue Shelton.
Mrs. Cottrell attended South Main Baptist Church in Crossett and retired from the Union County Tax Collector office in 1999. She enjoyed her family and loved to sew.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years: Harvey L. "Buck" Cottrell of Crossett, son: Robert Cottrell and wife Pamela of Crossett, daughter: Cynthia Sled and husband Greg of Cabot, her brother: George Freeman and wife Kay of Hot Springs Village, seven grandchildren: Wesly Cottrell of Bourg, LA, Bobby Ross Bryan of Crossett, Cody Cottrell of West Monroe, LA, Ben Bryan of Crossett, Lindsey Sled of Conway, Jason Sled of Cabot, and Kaylee Sled of Cabot.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 2, 2015, 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Bailey Funeral Home, El Dorado, AR
Funeral services will be Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bailey Funeral Home, El Dorado, with Rev. Buddy Burton officiating. Interment will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, El Dorado, AR.
