Lonnie Dean Dixon, 45, of Bigelow (Perry County) died Wednesday (Sept. 13, 2000) at his home.
Born June 26, 1955, in East St. Louis, Mo., a son of Emmet Dixon of New Orleans and the late Cleo Robison Dixon, he was a carpenter, an Army veteran and a member of Bigelow Baptist Church.
Other survivors are two sons, Josh Dixon of Elden, Texas, and Lonnie Dixon Jr. of Tennessee; two daughters, Gina Burnes of Tennessee and Ginger Dixon of Conway; six sisters, Wanda Adams of Bigelow, Juanita Slaughter of Illinois, Darla Brown and Kathy Elder, both of Conway, Rosalee Kennedy of Springfield, Ill., and Doris Marie Lockhart of Jerseyville, Ill.; four brothers, Larry Dixon of Texas, Roger Dixon of Illinois, Randy Dixon of Wooster and Terry Dixon of Mountain View (Stone County); and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home with James Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gale Adams, Allen Koonce, Clarence Slaughter, Billy Teas, Kenny Teas and Michael Dixon.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
