ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – Margaret Carolyn Hughey, 89, formerly of Mount Olive, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, in Ormond Beach, Fla.
Born Nov. 1, 1918, in Memphis, she was the daughter of Harry and Willamenia Steincamp Sequin. She was united in marriage to David Henry Hughey in Memphis in 1938. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Olive Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, David Sequin Hughey of Fayetteville and William Stephen Hughey of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; two daughters, Linda Hughey Simpson of Ormond Beach and Claudia Lewis of Atlanta; a sister, Mary Louise Millerwise of Sebewaing, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers; and two sisters.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. today at Mount Olive Presbyterian Church with Joel Snyder officiating. Burial was in Mount Olive Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Visitation was from noon to 2 p.m. today at the church.
