Otis Darwin Wilson, age 85 of El Dorado, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado. Otis was born on May 5, 1929 in Union County, AR to the late William Thomas Wilson and Sallie Eugenia (Loftin) Wilson. Otis was a US Army Veteran, serving his country during the Korean War Era. He was a retired supervisor for Con Arga Poultry, serving 30 years before his retirement in 1992 and was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Otis was known by everyone as "Uncle Otis." He loved fishing, especially bass fishing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend whom will be greatly missed by all.
Otis was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Ella Rebecca Beck, Sadie Sue Long and Chloe White; four brothers, Willis Wilson, twin brothers, Obie and Obist Wilson and an infant baby brother.
Those left to cherish his memory include; his wife, of 62 years, Patricia (Smith) Wilson of El Dorado; three sons, David Paul Wilson of Little Rock, Mark Douglas Wilson and wife Lisa and Thomas Edward Wilson and wife Christy all of El Dorado; six grandchildren, Magan Wilson Burke , Allison Wilson, Riley Wilson, Valerie Woods, Brad Woods and Courtney Brownfield; four great grandchildren, Trystan Wilson, Isabella Burke, Carmen Burke and Chris Burke; two sisters, Janis Tucker and LaVerne Brown; two brothers, Langford Wilson and Buddy Wilson also, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 5-7:30 pm on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 14, 2014 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father, Edward D' Almeida officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to Life Touch Hospice.
