Charles Lee Hearin, 76, of E. Main Rd., a retired building contractor, died in a local hospital Monday at 9:45 p.m. following a long illness. Mr. Hearin was born in Union County, March 1, 1889, the son of Robert and Eugenia Lowery Hearin. He was a member of Bethel Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Little Hearin, two sons, Bobby Q. Hearin of El Dorado and Charles W. Hearin of Oxnard, Calif, two daughters, Mrs. J. W. Ambrose of El Dorado and Mrs. D. M. Shelton of Baton Rouge, La.; a sister, Mrs. J. W. Perdue of El Dorado, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at West Side Baptist Church with Judge Claude Love and the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the funeral. (The El Dorado Times - October 19, 1965)
