Wilson M. Harrell, 59, of 604 W. 12th St., died Monday morning in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Born Feb. 2, 1910 in El Dorado, he was the son of J. A. J and Ruth Wilson Harrell. A lifelong resident of El Dorado, he was a member and deacon of the Second Baptist Church. At the time of his death he was employed as a car salesman for Foster Olds. Mr. Harrell was a former city alderman and a former salesman for Bishop Bros. Motor Co. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Irene Slayter Harrell of El Dorado; a son, Dr. James E. Harrell, Rockville, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry Bauman and Mrs. Charles W. Martin, Jr., both of El Dorado; three brothers, Tom Harrell, Gainesville, Tex., Paul Harrell and Bryan Harrell, both of El Dorado; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Doster, Spearsville, La., and Mrs. F. E. Murphy of El Dorado; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Bray officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. (El Dorado Times - November 24, 1969)
