Mrs. Joyce Ellen Colter, 61, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at home. Mrs. Colter was born in Lilbourn, MO. She was an assembler at Briggs & Stratton in Poplar Bluff, MO. She attended New Life Family Church in Knobel, AR.

She married her husband James Leon “Pouge” Colter on January 10, 1968. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1994.

She is survived by her mother Mary (Parks) Stull of Harviell, MO.; three daughters Tracy Edwards of Corning, AR., Terry Davidson of Neelyville, MO., Jamie Engel of Corning, AR.; one son Jimmy Colter of Corning, AR.; four brothers Don Mitchell of Neelyville, MO., Dennis, Ben, and Vern Mitchell all of Michigan; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Leon “Pouge” Colter; father James Mitchell; one brother Roy Lee Mitchell; and one sister Margie Stormes.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Kent Miller and Gary Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow the service in Corning Cemetery. Public visitation will be Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
