FAYETTEVILLE — Luella B. Combs, of Fayetteville, passed Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Regency Hospital of Northwest Arkansas after 87 years of life.

She was born March 23, 1921, in Penalosa, Kan., to Charles and Clara McConaughy.

Recently retired from Ozark Cleaners, she lived long enough to wear many hats - a seamstress, antique dealer, homemaker, farmer, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. She was a longtime member of Baldwin Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by all of her siblings; Vertie Gibson, Bonita Cook, Lorene Armstrong, Loretta Blaylock, Meryl McConaughy, Bill McConaughy and three husbands, Nobel "Jiggs" Morris, Lloyd Phillips and Robert Combs Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Juanita Clark of Fayetteville; her son, Wendell Phillips of Jacksonville; four grandchildren, Mike Meredith, Robert Phillips, David Phillips and Melisa Kasper and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, www.mooresfuneralchapel.com.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Baldwin Church of Christ with Minister Robert Dockery officiating and will continue graveside at Goshen Cemetery.
