December 25, 1899 - September 1, 1966
Thomas Harvey Brisby, 66, of Longview, Tex., died recently in Longview. He was born Dec. 25, 1899, in Knotsville, Ark. A retired employe of Humble Oil Co., Mr. Brisby was a resident of Longview for two years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bertha Mae Brisby, Longview; one daughter, Mrs. Loy Murray, White Oak, Tex.; three brothers, Chess Brisby, Denton, Ell Brisby, Tucson, Ariz., and Clint Brisby, Denton; two sisters, Mrs. Will Ford, El Dorado, and Mrs. Will Ford, El Dorado, and Mrs. Ina Frizzell, Gallen, Ala.; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Joyce City Baptist Church with the Rev. D. W. Stark officiating. Interment will follow at Cross Roads Cemetery. Rumph Mortuary is in charge. The body will be brought overland from Longview and is expected to arrive Saturday. (The El Dorado Times - September 2, 1966)
