Earnie Lear Townzen, 60, 905 South B St., Rogers, died Aug. 27 in Rogers Memorial Hospital. Born May 15, 1916, at Centerton, he was the son Albert R. and Dora L. Henry Townzen and a member of the Baptist Church. A veteran of World War II, he was shot down on D-Day, June 6, 1944. He is a member of Disabled American Veterans, Little Rock Chapter 7.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Norma Lee Huffmaster Townzen of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Norma Jean Kiser and Mrs. Patricia Ann Phillips, Rogers; five brothers, Arthur Townzen, Oscar (Bud) Townzen, Howard Townzen, Glen Townzen and Leslie Townzen all of Rogers; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Smith, Springdale; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Burns Funeral Home, Rogers, with the Rev. John Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Benton County Memorial Park under the direction of Burns.
