ROGERS - Glen D. Townzen, 86., of Rogers died Sept. 6, 2006, in Rogers. He was born Sept. 22, 1919, in Newton County, Mo., to Albert and Dora Henry Townzen. He retired from the University of Arkansas as a carpenter. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Rogers since 1955. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Mark Townzen.

Survivors include his wife, Nadine Vanscoy Townzen of the home, to whom he was married April 12, 1941; his children, Phyllis Shook and husband Bob of Tulsa, Okla., Carroll Townzen and wife Ginger of Mount Juliet, Tenn., Stanley Townzen and wife Dee Dee of Rogers and Diana Pults and husband Eddie of Springdale; one brother, Leslie Townzen of Bentonville; one sister, Mildred Smith of Rogers; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. J.B. Manning and the Rev. Ron Fields officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers, online at www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com.

Burial will be in Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers.

Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, c/o Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers, 72756.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Pults, Eddie Wiseley, Butch Wiseley, Tony Wiseley, Darrick Shook and Jason Story.

Honorary pallbearer will be Kurt Brinkman.

ROGERS - Nadine Townzen, 90, of Rogers passed away peacefully Jan. 26, 2014, at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. She was born Nov. 26, 1923, in the Spring Creek Community, the daughter of Alvin Glen and Letitia Downum Vanscoy.

Nadine was a homemaker and a charter member of the Temple Baptist Church in Rogers. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and camping.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Glen Townzen; one brother, Alvin Vanscoy; and one grandson, Mark Townzen.

She is survived by her children, Phyllis Shook and husband, Bob, of Tulsa, Carroll Townzen and wife, Ginger, of Mount Juliet, Tenn., Stanley Townzen and wife, DeeDee, of Pea Ridge and Diana Pults of Springdale; three sisters, Georgia Rock of Rogers, Anna Marie Walden of Vinita, Okla., and Janice Breshears of Bentonville; two brothers, Ray Vanscoy of Tulsa and Dennis Vanscoy of Wagner; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Temple Baptist Church in Rogers, with Russell Jones and Pastor Ron Fields officiating. Visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Private interment in the Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery, Rogers.
