Graveside services for Mrs. Edith Whiteside, age 94, of Lindale, Texas, were in Corning Cemetery at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 24, 2004, under direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home, Lindale.
Mrs. Whiteside died Tuesday evening in her home in Lindale. She was formerly of Lake Worth, Florida before moving to Lindale in 1998.
Mrs. Whiteside was the daughter of Horace and Birdie (Edward) McNabb. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Whiteside was preceded in death by her husband, George Wesley Whiteside, January 10, 1973, and is survived by two daughters, Edith M. Raynor of Lindale, Texas and Norma Jean McWatters of Lake Worth, Florida; a son, Wesley Lee Whiteside of Evansville, Indiana and four sisters, Verna Loar of Pocahontas, Captola Ward of Salem, Oregon, Willie Laird of Salem, Oregon and Naida Heikes of Portland, Oregon, nine grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
