Dovie Gifford daughter of the late William Meridith and Elizabeth Horner Gifford was born January 4, 1915. She died January 2, 1998. She was 82.
Dovie was united in marriage to Dee Schafer in Forty-Four in 1946. She spent most of her life as a housewife. She was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and one brother.
Graveside services were held January 4, 1998 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
