MELBOURNE — Belva Lee Hungate Snethen, 87, of Melbourne died Thursday, July 5, 2012, at her home.
Born Dec. 22, 1924, in Caldwell, Ill., she was the daughter of Charley and Cloe Frost Hungate. She was united in marriage to John Snethen. She was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Melbourne First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, John Franklin of Portage, Ind.; three daughters, Barbara Harguess of Walnut Ridge, Judy Hunt of Michigan City, Ind., and Patsy Warnke of Hardy; a brother, Lloyd Hungate of Bowserville, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, Danny Franklin.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday at Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne with Rick Burke officiating. Burial was in Caney Springs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Pallbearers were John Harguess, George Harguess, John Franklin Jr., Danny Franklin, Brett Baugh and Trey Harguess.
