Mrs. Margie Onita Cox, 82, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at home.

Mrs. Cox was born in Hickory Ridge, AR., on July 03, 1931.

She was a homemaker, dress shop owner, and dog obedience trainer. She enjoyed gardening, obedience training, and taking care of her home. She was a member of Corning Church of Christ.

She married her husband Charles W. Cox on September 19, 1948 in Knobel, AR. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1986.

She is survived by 2 daughter Judy Phelan of Corning, AR., Ellen Morphew of Little Rock, AR.; 2 brothers W.L. Duncan of Poplar Bluff, MO., Obie O'Neal Duncan of Doniphan, MO.; 2 sisters Audry Dicus of Paragould, AR., Helen Owens of Springhill, FL.; 6 grand-children and 4 great-grand-children.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Obie George and Stella (Holleman) Duncan; her son Danny Cox; one brother Bennie Duncan and one sister Beatrice Norwood.


Funeral services were in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Corning Cemetery.
