Graveside services were held Wednesday, July 27, 2005 in Corning Cemetery for Charles E. Carmickle, Adel, Georgia, a native of Success.
A veteran of the U.S. Army during World War Two, he was born March 13, 1928 to William and Edna (Sago) Carmickle in Success, and died July 24, 2005 in South Georgia Medical Center, Adel, Georgia. He was 77.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Pauline Carmickle of the home in Adel, Georgia; one son, Charles E. "Hank" Carmickle, Valdosta, Georgia; one daughter, Vonna Wacklerly, Detroit, Michigan; three sisters, Opal Armstrong, Bentonville, AR; Irene Sisco and Beulah Knowlton, both of Rogers, AR. One grandchild.
