Jimmy Randell Pate, 53, of Jessieville, Arkansas, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015, when Jesus decided for him to come on home. He was born March 4, 1962 in Hot Springs, AR to Johnnie “Emerson” and Jewell Katherine (Balisle) Pate. He was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church & an ordained minister. He enjoyed playing bluegrass music, hunting, fishing and camping. He will be remembered for being a loyal husband and loving father. He enjoyed playing with his grandkids, but most of all for loving & serving the Lord. Jimmy was preceded in death by a son Jimmy Randell Pate, Jr., grandson Caleb Alexander Johnson and his father Emerson Pate. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Brenda (Smith) Pate; daughter Jessica Pate Johnson (Christopher); son Aaron Pate (Janae); mother Jewell Pate; brothers, Johnnie Pate (Diane) and Joey Pate (Ashley) grandchildren; Hannah Johnson and Andrew Johnson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers are Ricky Dickson, Terry Speers, Jimmy Dale Scott, Elliott Pate, Ken Edens and Darrell Stogsdill. Honorary pallbearers are Pat Howard, Dr. Martin Koehn, Erin Holleman, APN, members of Mount Tabor Baptist Church and all his friends. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Thursday at Mount Tabor Baptist Church with Brothers Johnny Bratton, Jimmie Scott, and Johnie Brewster officiating. Burial will follow at New Mount Pleasant Cemetery. A special thank you to Pat Howard for blessing him with a kidney to keep him with us longer.
