Miss Velma Tisdale, 68, of Fayetteville died Saturday in a local hospital. Born Nov. 10, 1911 in Fayetteville, the daughter of Lewis W. and Ella Byrd Tisdale, she was a member of the Pentecostal Temple. She retired in October 1979 after 23 years in the dietary department at Fayetteville City Hospital.
She is survived by two brothers, Vernon and Wallace both of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mrs. Reba Huey and Mrs. Katherine Ledford, both of Fayetteville, five nieces and eight nephews.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Moore's Chapel with burial in Goshen Cemetery.
