ROGERS — Henryetta Bailey Harris, age 74, of Rogers, died February 22, 2016, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. She was born on October 11, 1941, in Conway, Ark., to Lloyd H. and Dorothy (Worsham) Bailey. Ms. Harris was a teacher at both Rogers and Bentonville School Districts, retiring from Rogers.
Soon after birth, she moved with her family to Lonoke, Ark., graduating from Lonoke High School. She graduated from Hendrix University and later obtained her Master of Education degree from the University of Arkansas.
After marriage, she moved to Rogers in 1965 where she became an active member of the community. For many years she was a member of the PEO sorority, Chapter U, then became the inaugural president and member of PEO Chapter CN. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her children, Laurie Walker and husband Jim of Rogers, Sandra Lockhart and husband Ed of Bentonville; her mother, Dorothy (Worsham) Bailey of Lonoke; grandson, Jack Edward Lockhart; brother, Joel Bailey and wife Jane of Lonoke.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, in the Hunt Memorial Chapel at Pinnacle Memorial Gardens, officiated by Rev. Jim Keith. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Rd., Springdale, Ark. 72762. Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
