Eddie's Family Funeral

Elsie Inez Webb Blankenship, daughter of the late Marvin Nolan Webb and Effie Elizabeth Ann Spicer Webb, was born March 8, 1921 in Oxford, Arkansas. She departed this life December 28, 2013 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 92 years, 9 months and 20 days. She was united in marriage to Fred N. Blankenship on October 29, 1941 in Calico Rock, Arkansas and to this union two children were born. She spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. Elsie and Fred owned and operated Blankenship Drug Store in Melbourne from 1950 until they retired in 1980. She was of the Baptist faith and a long time member of Melbourne First Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Jerry and Rose Blankenship of Melbourne; one daughter and son-in-law: Ann and L. D. Moser of Melbourne; six grandchildren: Shayne and Tonya Moser of Melbourne, Heath Blankenship of Melbourne, Jason Blankenship of Fayetteville, Jessica and Charles Eldred of Bentonville, Loren and Angie Blankenship of Melbourne and Josh Blankenship of Melbourne; twelve great grandchildren: Tadd Hickerson, Morgan Moser, Tyce Moser, Riley Moser, Katelyn Shrable, Sydney Shrable, Leyton Eldred, Emery Eldred, Kalen Eldred, Charis Eldred, Bennett Brice Blankenship and Carly Blankenship; one great great grandson: Trip Hickerson and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 70 years: Fred Blankenship; two sisters: Mary Benbrook and Irene Harber; one brother: Orison Webb.
Funeral service will be Monday, December 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Melbourne with Doyne Robertson officiating. Burial will be at Combs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will be Sunday, December 29 from 6-8p.m.
Pallbearers: Paul Gray Miller, James Loggains, Gale Cooper, Jim Shell, Bob Rector, Garry Sims.
