White River Currant
Sarah Edington of Guion, daughter of the late S.P. and Sophia Brooks Howell, was born August 19, 1912 in Izard County. She died October 7, 1999 in Calico Rock. She was 87.
Mrs Edington was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include one son, Raymond "Bud" Edington of Guion; five daughters, Loraine Jones of Dryden, Washington; Evadean Yonaka of Peshastin, Washington; Faye Condrey of Guion; Anna Marie McTigue of Batesville and Myrtle Kay Edington of Melbourne; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother and one grandson.
Funeral services were held October 9, 1999 at Reeves Chapel Church in Guion with Hinkman Palmer and Silas Lucas officiating. Pallbearers were Morris Shaver, Carl Shaver, Connie Johnson, Howard Lamb, Fred Lamb, and son Lamb. Honorary pallbearers were Julice Condrey and Danny Condrey.
Interment was in Reeves Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Willis-Hays Funeral Service of Batesville.
