GUION — Lois Marie Barksdale Moser, 86, of Guion died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, in Melbourne.
Born Nov. 25, 1927, in Gid, she was the daughter of Emmett and Lillian Mae Williams Barksdale. She was united in marriage to Howard Moser on Aug. 28, 1948, in Guion. She was a homemaker. After her children finished school, she went to work for the Izard County Sheriff and Tax Collectors Office, retiring after 15 years of employment. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and shopping and was a member of the Guion "Needles and Pins" quilting club. She pieced and made quilts for all of her children and grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith and was a long-time member of Guion Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years; three sons, Danny Moser of Calico Rock and Kenny Moser and Jake Moser, both of Melbourne; a daughter, Sherry Williams of Melbourne; a brother, Ronnie Adkisson of Melbourne; a sister, Linda Adkisson Manry of Mount Pleasant; nine grandchildren, Dana Monroe, Kenya Wyatt, Ashley Dellinger, Kacey Sharp, Cody Moser, Chase Moser, Sarah Moser, Jordan Hutchins and Emily Moser; and nine great-grandchildren, Tyce Moser, Morgan Moser, Ryan Moser, Sophie Wyatt, Hilton Wyatt, Mati Dellinger, Maddux Lawrence, Dani Drew Sharp and Jay Camden Hutchins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Eugene Barksdale and Ralph Barksdale.
Burial was in Reeves Cemetery.
