MELBOURNE - Ethel Pearl Carlson, 84, of Melbourne died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006, in Melbourne.
Born Aug. 15, 1921, in Whitney, Texas, she was the daughter of E.M. and Ethel Cathey Rose. She was a nurse at Banner Sanitarium in Houston. She was a member of Maxey Road Pilgrim Holiness Church in Houston. She married Ollie Eugene Pool in Jacksonville, Texas, in 1939 and Amos Carlson in Houston in 1953.
Survivors include three sons, Frank Eugene Pool of Damascus, Mark Allen Pool of Ashville, Ala., and Jonathan Pool of Tyler, Texas; a sister, Doris Gray of Baytown, Texas; 29 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two sons, Ronald Lee Pool and William Carlson-Pool; three daughters, Joann Pool, Patricia Ann Pool and Ethel Marie Bush; a brother, E.M. Allen Rose; and three sisters, Zerabelle Pool, Evelyn Pool and Frances Pool.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Roman and Billy Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne with Jean Laire officiating. Burial will be in Reeves Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Poole, Adam Pool, Ronnie Pool, Mark Pool, Ollie Garrett and Frank Garrett.
Honorary pallbearers are Robert Pool and Michael Garrett.
