WALNUT RIDGE — Lorena Hall Jacobs, 96, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015.
She was born June 1, 1919, at Black Oak to the late J.W. and Tennie Carlisle Hall. She was a homemaker, a longtime resident of Egypt and was a member of Egypt Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Jean Fort (Bill), Wayne Jacobs (Sue), Dena Hair, Roger Jacobs (Pat), Gail Arnold (Don), Terry Neely (Jim), Barbara Fairester (Troy), Donnie Jacobs (Becky) and Ronnie Jacobs (Sherry); 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Jacobs.
A graveside service to celebrate of her life will be 10 a.m. today in Markum Cemetery with the Rev. Doran Gregory officiating under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Donnie Jacobs, Ronnie Jacobs, Rick Fort, Skip Fort, Cason McQuay, Matthew Travis, Jonathan Jacobs and Dorman Hufstedler; and as honorary pallbearers, Crocket Fort, Christerpher Fort, B.J. Fort, Cameron Jacobs, Nathan Lewis and Casey Gilliam.
