Clevis Elburn Gillihan son of Clemon Portor Gillihan and Audie Virgie (Richardson) Gillihan. Mary Gaye (Jeffery) Sherriell Gillihan daughter of Lemuel Leslie Jeffery and Leverne Audell (Collier) Jeffery. Mary Gaye (Jeffery) Sherrell Gillihan was preceded in death by four husbands.

Clevis Elburn Gillihan of Mountain Home, Arkansas

Clevis Elburn Gillihan, son of the late Clem Gillihan and Audie Richardson Gillihan, was born August 19, 1933 in Jumbo, Arkansas. He departed this life April 18, 2014 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 80 years, 7 months and 30 days.

He was united in marriage to Mary Jeffery on September 9, 1999.

He spent his life as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years he was employed as a long distance truck driver. He served in the United States Army attaining the rank of Specialist Third Class. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years: Mary Gillihan of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Kerry Gillihan of Rayne, Louisiana and Chris and Becky Gillihan of Union, Missouri; four daughters and three sons-in-law: Robin Salters of Arnold, Missouri, Laura and Mark Zemann of Imperial, Missouri, Connie and Rocky Campbell of Melbourne and Linda and Curtis Childress of Cushman; one brother: Curtis "Celdon" Gillihan of Calico Rock; two sisters: Lovella Landsrud of Wolf Point, Montana and Reta Goodman of Melbourne; 21 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sons: Scott Gillihan, Michael Sherrell, Scottie Sherrell; one sister: Dortha Gillihan Coles;one brother: Huell Gillihan; two grandchildren: Cory Masson and Vanessa Gillihan.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 22 at 3:00 p.m. at Howard Memorial Funeral Chapel in Melbourne with Delman Parnell officiating. Burial will be at Combs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will be Tuesday April 22 from 1-3 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.

Pallbearers: Russell Sherrell, Randy Sherrell, Eric Faulkner, Waylan Cooper, Lyndell Cooper and Zack Gillihan.

Honorary Pallbearers: Ron Parnell, Jeremy Vanda and Nicholas Gillihan

Mary Gaye Jeffery Sherrell Gillihan, daughter of the late Lemuel Leslie Jeffery and Leverne Audell Collier Jeffery, was born October 18, 1935 in Jumbo, Arkansas. She departed this life May 22, 2016 in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 80 years, 7 months and 4 days.

She was united in marriage to James Harland Sherrell and to this union four children were born She spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. During her working years, she worked as a clerk at Town and Country Shoe Store in Independence, Missouri. She also worked for McDonald’s and B & M Drive Inn. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law: Linda and Curtis Childers of Sandtown, Arkansas and Connie and Rocky Campbell of Melbourne; one brother: Billy Kaye Jeffery of Yakima, Washington; 13 grandchildren: Tonya Gilpatrick, Brooke Clark, Mary Richardson, Megan Bridgeman, Rusty Campbell, Maggie Campbell, Stephen Sherrell, Corey Masson, Jr. Brianna Masson, Michael Masson, Scottie Sherrell, Anna Sherrell, Willie Sherrell and Ashley Sherrell; eleven great grandchildren: Shelby Gilpatrick, Jody Gilpatrick, Bailey George, Aiden Campbell, Kennedy Clark, Cody Clark, Mitchell Sherrell, Gregory Sherrell, Brianna Sherrell, Eva Jane Sherrell and . And a host of other relatives and many good friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four husbands, one sister: Shirley May Taylor; two brothers: Lewis Kay Jeffery and Thomas Jeffery; two sons: Michael Sherrell and Sottie Sherrell and one grandson: Cory Masson.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne with Rick Burke officiating.

Burial will be at Combs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 24 beginning at 12 noon.

Pallbearers: Scottie Lynn Sherrell, Jr., William Sherrell, C. J. Masson, Michael Masson, Rusty Campbell, Justin Burns.
