Billy 'Bill" Joe Dailey, of El Dorado, AR, died on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Medical Center of South Arkansas.
Born on August 1, 1931 in Banks, AR; he was the son of Joe C and Mittie Bea Hinds Dailey. Bill was an Army veteran and member of the Arkansas National Guard for 20 years. Bill retired from Columbia Chemical as a furnace operator and was a member of local 381. He was an El Dorado Police Auxiliary officer for 25 years. Bill was active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts; he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bill was a member of Good Sam Club, Mt Union Golden Agers and Temple Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Willie Mae Belin and Ruth Hooks.
Survivors are his wife of 61 years Patricia Dunbar Dailey of El Dorado, a son Danny Joe Dailey (Jacquelynn) of Dallas, TX, a daughter Shirley Bauldree (Larry ) of El Dorado, grandchildren, Danielle Lynn (Jason), Amy Bauldree, Pate Bauldree (Sarah), Stephanie Prybella (Chris), Julia Hurt (John) and a great grandson Jackson Hurt.
Funeral services will be 10 am, Monday, July 21, 2014 in the chapel of Young's Funeral Directors with Rev. Gary Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. Bill's nieces, nephews and grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening at Young's Funeral Directors from 5 pm to 7 pm.
