*Obituary
Gloria Mae Kramer Diffie, 89, of El Dorado, AR, passed from this life and entered the gates of Heaven Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home.

Born on October 16, 1924 in Shreveport, LA., she was the daughter of Homer H. and Nora Carol Beaird Kramer. She worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell and secretary for AP&L. She married Harold S. Diffie on July 20, 1950. When he entered the ministry, she worked alongside him. Gloria was also a homemaker, song leader at the churches where they ministered and coordinated vacation bible schools. She loved to cook and her specialty was cakes. Mom was our rock and she took care of everyone. We loved her for that special gift that God allowed us to enjoy.

She was preceded by her parents, her husband of 61 years and granddaughter Sydney Marie Odom.

She leaves behind her daughters Marsha Diffie and Melanie Odom, sons Mike Diffie (Merridee) and Mark Diffie (Jennifer), along with her grandchildren Nikki Odom, Michael, Matthew and Marissa Diffie and Cory & John Christie. A special thanks goes to her wonderful caregivers over the past two years: Mary Ann Smith, Betty Willis, Linda Burgie, Fay Green and Laquiticia Hicks. The family also thanks Hudson Nursing Home and Life Touch Hospice for their special during Mom's last few days. Finally, a thank you to Ebenezer Baptist Church and New London Baptist Church for being there for our family.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Pelz and Rev. Tommy Nash officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.

The family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Directors Tuesday, February 4 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Life Touch Hospice, 2301 Champagnolle Road, El Dorado, AR. 71730 or Arkansas Children's Hospital Foundation, P.O. Drawer 2222, Little Rock, AR 72203-9984.
