Charles Earl Covey, 86, of 2119 East Main St., El Dorado, died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 6, 1881 in Texas. He was the son of William Henry and Laura Covey. He had been an employe of Armour Packing Company for 42 years before his retirement and a resident of Union County for 33 years. He was a member of the West Hillsboro Church of Christ. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Caroline Jones Cover, El Dorado; two sons, E. J. Covey, Denver, Colo., and E. B. Covey, Oklahoma City; two daughters, Mrs. J. B. Shaw, Mobile, Ala.; Mrs. W. F. Kuchinsky, Enid, Okla; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; three brothers, E. L. Covey, E. J. Covey and H. E. Covey, all of Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Young's Chapel with Mr. Benny Bristow officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. (El Dorado Times - December 9, 1967)
