Billy Ray Lackey, age 66, of Russellville, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Southwest Regional Medical Center in Little Rock.
A son of the late Preston L. and Isabell Barker Lackey, he was born April 11, 1941 at Cane Hill, Arkansas.
He was an assistant supervisor for the Cass Job Corps for thirty years before his retirement, was a United States Air Force veteran and attended St. James Baptist Church in Fayetteville.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Preston Lackey Jr.
Survivors include his wife of forty-four years, Barbara Lackey; two daughters and a son-in-law: Rhonda Lackey of North Little Rock; and Erica and Sam Washington of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Wayne and Marvia Lackey of Fort Worth; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Elnora and Amos Jackson, Roberta Morgan and Joann and Farrell Goodley, all of Fayetteville; two grandchildren: Aaron Bogard of North Little Rock; and Hannah Washington of Fort Worth; and his mother-in-law, Josephine Enoch of Russellville.
