Alfred Raymond Peek, 73 year old resident of Decatur, Ark., died Friday, March 30, at his residence after a sudden illness.
Mr. Peek was born July 27, 1905, at Decatur, Ark., and had been a lifetime resident of that area. He was a retired farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church at Decatur.
He is survived by his wife, Iva Jane of the home; one laughter, Mrs. Barbara Jean Winningham of Gentry, Ark.; his mother, Mrs. Lillie Peek of Siloam Springs; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Robb of Kansas City, Mo.; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Peek were held Monday, April 2, at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church at Decatur with Dr. John Terry officiating. Burial was in the Decatur Cemetery under the direction of the Pyeatte Funeral Service.

Iva Jane Peek, 91, of Decatur died Jan. 26, 1995, at Woodland Manor Nursing Home in Siloam Springs. She was born March 27, 1903, in Mason Valley in Benton County to John A. Scoggins and Sarah Elizabeth Hendrickson Scoggins. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Decatur. She was a school teacher for 43 years and taught for 35 of those years in Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Peek, to whom she was married Dec. 25, 1926, and who died March 30, 1979; two sisters, Reba Irene Scoggins and Sylvia Parish; one brother, Ray M. Scoggins; one grandson, Ray M. Winningham.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Winningham of Decatur; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Decatur with the Rev. John Terry and the Rev. Terry Eaton officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Arrangements are by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
