Obit:
Ruby Louise Fowler, 97, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, in Spring, Texas.
Mrs. Fowler was born Nov. 11, 1911, in Maud, Texas. She was employed with Dillard's department store and Mirror's Gift Shop and a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Odell Fowler.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Bobbye Dell and Nye Patterson of Spring; two sisters-in-law, Laura Fomby and Johnnie Fomby; two grandchildren and spouses, Flad and Angie Patterson and Holly and Kevin Schmitt of The Woodlands, Texas; five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at East Memorial Gardens. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.
Visitation will be noon to 1:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Highland Park Baptist Church, 2401 Hazel Street, Texarkana, TX 75503.
