Joy William Whistle, 95
Joy William Whistle was born September 23, 1919, in northeast Arkansas to George Maurice "Marse" Whistle and Rosalind "Rose" Allen Whistle. Joy married Hazel Corrine Kuhn on October 25, 1946. He died January 19, 2015, in Arkansas.
After attending one year of college, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps on March 26, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan.
He attended Arkansas State College, Jonesboro, and graduated from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, in 1951 with a degree in engineering. Prior to retirement, he lived in upstate New York for a number of years.
All funeral arrangements were private with burial in the Galatia Cemetery. Cremation was under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
