Pauline Graves Shields, 101 years, passed from this life on Wednesday March 12, 2014, at National Health Care in Kennett, Missouri.

She was born on February 23, 1913, in Piggott, Arkansas, to the late William and Laura (Knight) English.

Pauline was full of life and loved a good smile. She was part of the garden club, women's club, and various quilting clubs.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: Wallace Graves, Homer Cherot, Amadee Shields; one son: James W. Graves; three sisters: Lee Marks, Willie Mae Roberts, Myrtle Berniece Sanders; four brothers: Albert English, Melvin English, Marvin English, Fred English; and a grandson: Kim Graves.

Ms. Shields is survived by three grandchildren: Pam Graves Bronson and husband Steward of Memphis, TN, Teresa Graves Frankel and husband John of Rector, Ginger Graves Sain and husband Greg of Rector; seven great-grand-children; six great-great-grand-children; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life was held at the First United Methodist Church in Rector. Interment was at Woodland Heights in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
