Virgel the son of Earl Hinklin and Mae Tibb Hinklin.


Virgil Hinklin, 82, of Corning, Ark., died Thursday, November 9, 2000 at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark.

Born June 25, 1918 in Light, Ark., he was the son of the late Earl Hinklin and Mae Tibb Hinklin. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Veda Mae Anderson on December 2, 1995; three brothers: Hershel, Bee Lee, and Carl; and one sister, Irene.
Virgil was united in marriage to Ollie Imogene Smith on August 30, 1943.

He was a farmer and a member of the Main Street Pentecostal Church in Corning.

Mr. Hinklin leaves his wife, Jean Hinklin, of Corning; Three daughters: Bonnie Jean Calhoun of Fairdealing, Mo., Peggy Hallmark of Jonesboro, Ark. and Sherry Taylor of Corning; One brother, Homer Hinklin, of Cooter, Mo.; Eight grandchildren and Fourteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Hinklin were held at 10:00 a,m., Saturday, November 11, 2000 at the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning.

Burial was at the Corning Cemetery in Corning with Ermert Funeral Home of Corning in charge.

Jean Hinklin Scheller (November 4, 1925 - January 20, 2011)

Mrs. Jean Hinklin Scheller, 85, of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR. Mrs. Scheller was born in Clifton, TN., she was a homemaker, she enjoyed bible studies, witnessing to others, attending church, singing in the choir, gardening and cooking. She attended the House of Prayer in Corning.

She is survived by husband John Scheller of Knobel, AR.; three daughters Bonnie Jean Calhoun of Fairdealing, MO., Peggy Hallmark of Jonesboro, AR., Sherry and husband Vondel Taylor of Corning, AR.; one brother Henry Smith, Jr. of Lacon, IL.; three sisters Naomi Loyd of Paragould, AR., Inez Bell of Corning, AR., Earnestene Butler of Corning, AR.; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband Virgil Hinklin on November 9, 2000; parents Henry Hartwell and Sophie Mae (Hensley) Smith; one sister Betty Ward; and step-daughter Veda Mae Anderson.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 24, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Public visitation will be Sunday, January 23, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
