Mr. Lester Ray Foster, 74, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 at home. Mr. Lester was born in Success, AR., on December 29, 1938.

He was retired, he was an assembly worker with Johansen Brothers Shoe Company. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and his dog "Ollie". He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was Church of Christ in faith.

He married his wife of 52 years Mava Ruth (Counts) Foster on May 27, 1961. She survives, other survivors include one daughter Angela and husband Mike Barker of Corning, AR.; one sister Ann Ladd of Corning, AR.; two grandchildren Ashley and husband Marc Cummings of Cummings of Corning, AR., Jeremy Barker of Corning, AR.; three great-grandchildren Kinley Barker, Cannon and Olivia Cummings.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Edna (Edwards) Foster; five brothers Utah Foster, Basil Foster, Hulen Foster, Clois Foster, Elmo Foster; three sisters Ruby Eldridge, Lenora Vinson and Mary Richards.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Bradshaw and Bob Halcomb officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
