Mr. James William "J.W." Eldridge, 86, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 at Seven Springs Nursing and Rehab Center in Heber Springs, AR. Mr. Eldridge was born in Williford, AR., on July 24, 1926. He was a retired electrical contractor. He was a Shriner and a 32 Degree Mason. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Corning First United Methodist Church.

He was married to his wife Mary Ellen (Knowlton) Eldridge. She preceded him in death on September 29, 1983.

He is survived are one son Steve Eldridge of Newport, AR.; one daughter Elaine Davis of Beebe, AR.; two brothers Roscoe Eldridge of Elizabeth, AR., Cecil Eldridge of Machesney Park, IL.; two sisters Becky Higgins of Loves Park, IL., Nima McFatridge of Elizabeth, AR.; ten grandchildren and companion Erma Brooks of West Plains, MO.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents Roscoe Franklin and Goldie Jewell (Wilson) Eldridge; one son James Eldridge, Jr.; one daughter Barbara Caldwell; three brothers Orbra Eldridge, Bill Eldridge, Benton Eldridge; two sisters Dorothy Peters and Louise Hart.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ann Ferris officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, January 11, 2012 from 9:00 AM until the time of services.

Masonic services will begin at 10:30 AM.
