HOT SPRINGS -- Ruth Dodd Gates, 88, of Hot Springs, formerly of Corning, died Monday, March 17, at Quapaw Care and Rehab in Hot Springs. She was a homemaker and a member of Corning Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, J.T. Dodd of Hot Springs; two daughters, Joyce Totty of Hot Springs and Marlene Swolensky of Memphis; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Rural Dodd and Floyd E. Gates, and her parents.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Ermert Funeral Home of Corning, with Bill Cline officiating. Burial will follow in Corning Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
