CORNING -- James Malcolm Brownfiel,SR 71, of Corning died Saturday, April 19, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
Born in Weiner, he was the retired owner and operator of Brownfiel Oil Co. of Corning, a member of Corning First Baptist Church and a member of the Corning Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Brownfiel of Corning; one son, Larry Brownfiel of Corning; two daughters, Mona Hauser of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Rhonda Ahrent of Corning; one sister, Susie Eddington of Datto; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, James Malcolm "Jimbo" Brownfiel Jr.; his parents, James Michael and Minnie Ziegenhorn Brownfiel; three brothers; and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Corning First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Corning Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home of Corning.
