Funeral services for Austin McCann, 75, of Datto who died Friday, March 14, at his residence, will be at 10 a.m. today at Ermert Funeral Home chapel in Corning, with Joe Johnson and Grant Killion officiating. Burial will follow in Corning Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie White, Larry Darr, Jim Allison, Gary Hart, LaRoy McCann and Lambert Blissenbach.
He was born Oct. 13, 1927, in Datto. He worked for the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department Weight Division and was a mechanic. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a a member of the military honor guard of Promberger-Traw Post No. 4556 in Pocahontas and of the Church of Christ belief.
Survivors include his wife, Billie McCann of the home; one daughter, Shelia Campbell of Pocahontas; one stepdaughter, Mary Lou Blissennbach of Pocahontas; two stepsons, Phil Rigdon of Corning and Frank Rigdon of Naylor; five stepgrandchildren; one grandson; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Bessie McCann, and one brother.
