Herman Goodman Services Held Here Feb. 26
Funeral services for Herman Goodman, resident of Route 1, Corning, were conducted Feb. 26 at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Vann officiating.
He was born July 25, 1914 at Palatka, son of Russell and Nora Goodman and died at Feb. 24, 1988 at Lucy Lee Hospital, Poplar Bluff. He was a retired construction worker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He married Maxine B. Hovis on July 28, 1951 in Rockford, Illinois.
Survivors other than his wife, Maxine, are one son; Gene Goodman of Corning, four daughters; Louise Griffin of Poplar Bluff, Peggy Davis of Corning, Sue Nations of Van Buren, Missouri and Linda Brewer of Barnhart, Missouri; one sister, Ruth Duff of Corning; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Corning Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Tim Hovis, Tom Hovis, Mike Hovis, Bobby Shipman, Paul Haywood and Bob Kegley.
