Funeral services for Homer A. McQueen were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Success Baptist Church by Rev. H. W. Johnston.
Mr. McQueen, aged 55, died December 25, 1946, at a Modesto, Calif., hospital after suffering a heart attack a few minutes earlier at his home. He was born March 3, 1891, in Lincoln County, Mo., and farmed near Success practically all his life until moving to California in 1941 where he was employed as a construction worker. He was married to Zona Wilson on April 28, 1910.
He is survived by Mrs. McQueen, two sons, Ray of St. Louis and Herman of Modesto, Calif.; five nephews, Jim Lafferty of Harviell, Mo., John Lafferty, City, Fred Lafferty of Moark, Van Lafferty of Winslow, Ind., and Ashiel Lafferty of St. Louis; two nieces, Mrs. Beatrice Davis, City, and Mrs. Lora Gilmore of Porterville, Calif.
Burial was in Corning Cemetery.
Relatives from out-of-town attending the service were Mr. and Mrs. Omar L. Collins of South Bend, Ind., and Mrs. Rose Bennett of Grovertown, Ind.
