Mr. Frank Thomas, 76, of Corning, AR. passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Thomas was a retired manager from Montgomery Wards, he proudly served his country during the Korean War as a member of the United States Navy, he was a member of the Church of God Seventh Day in Pocahontas, AR. he enjoyed fishing, reading and playing the stock market.

He married his wife Barbara Ann (Snider) Thomas in Hernando, MS. on May 27, 1955 she survives. Other survivors include one son Richard Thomas and wife Diane of Owensville, MO.; three daughters Debra and husband Larry Whitcomb of Clearwater, KS., Sandra and husband Randy Dorner of Clearwater, KS., and Constance Thomas of Corning, AR.; one brother Arthur Thomas and wife Reba of Gamaliel, AR.; two sisters Vera Anglin of Media, PA., and Joe Ann and husband John Gleghorn of Corning, AR.; six grandchildren Joe Allen Whitcomb, Amy Whitcomb, Frank Dorner, Ricky Thomas, Coty Thomas and Shianne Thomas; and seven great grandchildren Dakota Whitcomb, Zander Whitcomb, Shoshanna Moore, Gwendilyn Dorner, Isabelle Dorner, Maverick Dorner and Maxwell Dorner.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Zora Thomas; brothers Carl, Earl, R.D. and J.L. Thomas and one sister Earlene Whitehead.

Funerals services will be conducted Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ben Coulson officiating, Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Public Visitation will be Friday, February 12, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.



Barbara Thomas (September 29, 1937 - May 26, 2015)

Mrs. Barbara Ann Thomas, 77, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at home. Mrs. Thomas was born in Union City, TN., on September 29, 1937. She had worked for Mid-Mo Graphics, Alphabet Ink and also managed a video store. She enjoyed reading books, she was a member of the Card Club, the Birthday Club and the Dominoes Gang. She was a member of the Church of God Seventh Day in Pocahontas, AR.

She married her husband of 54 years Frank Thomas on May 27, 1955 in Hernando, MS. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2010.

She is survived by five children Richard Thomas and wife Diane of Owensville, MO., Debra and husband Larry Whitcomb of Clearwater, KS., Sandra and husband Randy Dorner of Clearwater, KS., Connie Thomas of Corning, AR., Sherri White of Owensville, MO.; six grandchildren Joe Allen Whitcomb, Amy Whitcomb, Frank Dorner, Ricky Thomas, Coty Thomas, Shianne Thomas, Whitney White, Addy White; eleven great-grandchildren Dakota Whitcomb, Zander Whitcomb, Shoshanna Moore, Kenzi Moore, Gwendilyn Dorner, Isabelle Dorner, Maverick Dorner, Maxwell Dorner, Madi Thomas, Tynzlee Thomas and Bentley Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Paul and Helen (Fuller) Groves; three brothers Jim Groves, Richard Groves, Bobby Groves and sister Paula Brannecky.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ben Coulson officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
