Gary the son of William and Francis Christian.


CORNING -- Gary Lee Christian, 57, of Corning died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, in Arkansas Methodist Medical Center at Paragould.

Gary was born Aug. 13, 1949, the son of William and Francis Christian.

He was a welder. He loved feeding his catfish, fishing, working in his garden and running his dog Oscar around the farm.

Survivors include six sons, Johnny Christian of Rockford, Tony Knowlton, Bentley Knowlton and William Christian, all of Paragould, and Kurt Christian and Travis Christian, both of Dyer; six daughters, Shonette Decker, Autumn Christian and Toya Christian, all of Fort Smith, Kerrie Plummer of Spiro, Okla., and Vicki Christian and Shelly Christian, both of Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Treena Riley of Louisville, Ky., and Sharon Campbell of Corning; one brother, Jerry Harris of Corning; one brother-in-law, Gary Wilson of Corning; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Francis Christian; one sister, Rose Mary Wilson; and one brother-in-law, Sammy Campbell.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today in Ermert Funeral Home at Corning.

Services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 10, at 2 p.m. in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in Corning Cemetery under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home.
