James Carl Bailey the son of Carl William Bailey and Noba Ann (Stroud) Bailey. Jennie Lee (King) Bailey the daughter of Rufus King and Marie (Winkle) King.



James Carl Bailey, 71, of Mount Pleasant, died Saturday at White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born, Wednesday, February 1, 1939 in Batesville, Arkansas and was the son of Carl William and Noba Ann (Stroud) Bailey.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and looking for arrowheads in his spare time. He retired from Bailey’s Sawmill and also worked for Auvil Orchard’s. He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church near Melbourne.

James is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jennie (King) Bailey of the home; two sons: Ricky Bailey of Mount Pleasant, Jimmy Bailey of Ekalaka, Montana; one daughter, Pam Bailey of Mount Pleasant; six grandchildren: Allen Bailey, Cody Stewart, Kristina Dew, Jamie Bailey, Breann Bailey, Kira Bailey; six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Marion Herrington and her husband, David of Sidney; Sharion Jeffery of Batesville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Paul Bailey and Doug Bailey.

Pallbearers will be Hank Sollock, Johnny Sollock, Edward Sollock, Stacy Ram, Jeff Stroud, Doub Evans, Mark Herrington and Billy Givens.

Honorary pallbearers are Allan Bailey, Cody Stewart, Jamie Bailey, Randy Guiltner, Brian Vest, David Herrington and Steve Dew.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Cornerstone Baptist Church near Melbourne with Bro. Elvis Sneathern officiating.

Burial will follow the services at the Barren Fork Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Jennie Lee King Bailey, 76, of Mount Pleasant, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at her home. She was born in Mount Pleasant, Arkansas on July 16, 1939 to Rufus and Marie (Winkle) King.

Jennie Lee was a homemaker, a fruit packing shed worker and at one time was a secretary at the FBI. She lived a good, honest, Christian life, as she seen it, and was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Some of the things Jennie Lee enjoyed were cooking, playing the lottery, and watching wild animals come looking for food. Most of all she loved visiting with her grandchildren. She lived life to the fullest and believed you needed to make the best of what you have. Jennie Lee was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and Christian.

She is survived by her sons, Rickey Bailey of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas and Jimmy Bailey of Ekalaka, Montana; a daughter, Pam Stewart of Mount Pleasant; six grandchildren, Allen Bailey, Cody Stewart, Kristina Curtis, James Bailey, Breann Hill, and Kira Bailey; ten great-grandchildren, Elijah Curtis, Destiny Bailey, Brantley Bailey, Ashley Coren, Amber Godfrey, Bryce Hill, Bree Curtis, James Bailey, Alexia Bailey, and Adam Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Bailey.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Stroud, Paul Bray, David Herrington, Johnny Solock, W. C. “Dub” Evans, Mark Herrington, Randy Guiltner, Edward Solock, Jason Stigall, and Stacy Ram.

Honorary pallbearers are Elijah Curtis, Destiny Bailey, Brantley Bailey, Ashley Coren, Amber Godfrey, Bryce Hill, Bree Curtis, James Bailey, Alexia Bailey, Adam Bailey, Allen Bailey, Cody Stewart, Steve Dew, Brian Vest, and Terry Kimble.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Cornerstone Baptist Church near Mount Pleasant.

Burial will follow at Barren Fork Cemetery by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.

Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
