Jimmie Eudene Clark Smith, daughter of the late Arthur Clark and Katie Landers Clark, was born August 22, 1927 in Melbourne, Arkansas. She departed this life October 2, 2015 in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 10 days. She spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. During her working years, she was employed by Remington Arms, retiring after many years of employment. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by three sons: Warren Smith of Melbourne, Don Smith of Melbourne and Charles Smith of Orlando, Florida; two daughters: Glenda Kankey of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Katie Havens of Melbourne; twelve grandchildren: Joni Ward, Courtney McCrary, Christie Tate, Jeremy Smith, Tony Smith, Victor Kankey, James Smith, Allison Fish, Melissa Garrison, Misty Burton, Selena Schmidt and April Petty; fourteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Florence Petty, one son: Freddie Smith; one grandson: Casey Smith; one infant great grandson and nine siblings.
Graveside funeral service will be Monday, October 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Melbourne Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will be Sunday, October 4 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Eudell Smith, Dave McCollum, Wilson Teague and Jeremy Smith.
