Mrs. Isabel Cook died on Thursday of last week at the home of her son-in-law, W.H. Covert, southwest of town. The remains were interred in Bluff Cemetery Friday, services being conducted by Rev. E.L. Massey of the South Methodist Church. The deceased was 75 years old and was born in Ohio. Two years ago she came here from Kansas with Mr. and Mrs. Covert, being the mother of Mrs. Covert, and has made her home with them. Although not a member of any church she was a good woman, kind-hearted and true, ever ready to lend her aid wherever possible in relieving the wants of the needy and distressed. Mr. and Mrs. Covert have the sympathy of all. Mr. and Mrs. Covert wish through The News to offer their thanks to their friends and neighbors for their kindly assistance during the sickness and death of their mother.
