ROGERS - Charles James Laney, 79, of Rogers died Monday, June 28, 2004, at Northwest Medical Center of Washington County in Springdale. He was born June 6, 1925, in Carthage, Mo., to Charles Jackson and Lottie Jane Fry Laney. He was a member and deacon of Lakeside Baptist Church in Rogers. He was a Navy seaman 2nd class, serving in World War II aboard the USS Tennessee. He was a retired volunteer fireman from the Beaver Lake Fire Department. He was a retired machinist and was a member of Rogers American Legion Post 100.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Laney of the home; one son, Gary Lee Laney of Bentonville; three daughters, Kasandra Louise Buckner of Bentonville, Amanda Jane Nagy of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and Jayma Ninette Hartman of Rogers; three brothers, Donald Laney of Sunset Beach, Mo., Eugene Laney of Brookeville, Fla., and David Laney of Crystal Springs, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lakeside Baptist Church in Rogers with the Rev. Scott Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Cemetery in the Larue community.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

Memorials maybe made to the American Diabetes Association or the Hidden Springs Dialysis Clinic in Bentonville.

ROGERS — Pauline J. Laney, 86, died Nov. 10, 2013, in Rogers. She was born on May 8, 1927, in Reeds, Mo., to the late Roy and Louise (McCollum) Alumbaugh.

She was the loving wife of 57 years to the late Charles Laney.

She was a longtime member of Lakeside Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Garry Laney of Bentonville; three daughters, Kandy Buckner of Bentonville, Jayne Hartman of Bentonville and Jayne Nagy of North Carolina; 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including, Monroe Alumbaugh and Janice Dryer, whom she raised as her own.

A funeral service will be Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Martin Cemetery in LaRue, Ark.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rollins.
