Fort Worth, TX - Vernon Winston Sanders, of Fort Worth, drowned Friday at Lake Whitney. He was 28. Funeral will be at 2 pm Wednesday in the Nella community in Scott County, Ark. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Geyer-Quillin Funeral Home in Mena, Ark, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr Sanders was born in Alamogordo, N M, and had lived in Fort Worth for most of his life.
Survivors: Wife, Debra Sanders of Fort Worth; daughter, Christina Sanders of Fort Worth; father, Daniel Sanders of De Queen, Ark; mother, Perinell Ward of Springfield, Mo; two brothers, Daniel Sanders, Jr of Texarkana, Bowie County, and Warren Sanders of Horatio, Ark; sister, Dareatha Eulberg of De Queen; and grandparents, Warren and Virginia Sanders of Alamogordo.
